Congratulations
to Seth Maxwell and Aaron Overland, Local 1461's new firefighters,
which were recently hired by the Burien/Normandy Park Fire Department.
Seth and Aaron were sworn in at the May union meeting and begin
their training in class 07-02 at the Washington
State Fire Training Academy. Their graduation is set for July
13.

Executive Board welcomes
Chris Reed and Ernie Brown as newly elected members to the board.
Al Keyes, the previous boards trustee, has now been elected to the
position of vice president. Chris Reed will take on the role of
treasurer, although this is not his first time on the eboard. Chris
previously served as secretary. This is Ernie Browns first time
on the board, where he will serve as the new trustee. Brian Lamoureaux
leaves the board having served as secretary, and Tim Zimnisky leaves
after having served as vice president. Both had voluntarily chosen
to leave the board. Local 1461 wishes to extend their thanks to
Brian Lamoureaux and Tim Zimnisky for all their efforts!
